Position Summary:CVS Health has an exciting opportunity for a Formulary Management Pharmacist to join our growing team.
As a Formulary Management Pharmacist, you report to the Director of Formulary Management and will be responsible for the planning and execution in the creation and maintenance of client specific formularies. You will also ensure clinical appropriateness and consistency, accuracy and timely client delivery for all required deliverables.
Additionally, you will provide clinical subject matter expertise and support for internal and external clients as well as additional formulary related clinical activities to meet organizational and marketplace needs.
You will consult as a subject matter expert facilitating formulary decision-making process and continual enhancement of the formulary management systems for the enterprise, and provide direction to the internal partners to implement downstream formulary activities including adjudication, web/portal, communications, and publications.
The Formulary Management Pharmacist will also assist with the coordination of formulary activities to meet organizational goals, client needs, performance standards, and plan requirements while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, best practices and applicable regulations and standards.
Other responsibilities include:
*Providing business enhancement proposals, contribute to requirement specifications, and perform user acceptance testing on enhancements to formulary management tool and other formulary projects.
*Providing subject matter expertise and support for internal and external clients.
*Supporting internal departments with clinical and analytical requests concerning formulary.
*Developing and maintain policy and procedure and work instructions.
This position requires a very high level of attention to detail and strict adherence to time lines Required Qualifications: Licensed pharmacist in state of Arizona.
Proven Drug File and adjudication knowledge.
Proven experience with Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee decision making process.
Proven ability to identify, analyze and solve problems from a practical perspective. Ability to produce results by determining time frames, deadlines and successive steps. Ability to negotiate or solve matters involving significant or controversial issues. Ability to plan, coordinate or advise others on work effects or progress. Ability to resolve problems by influencing or motivating others.
Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years experience as a licensed pharmacist.
1+ year experience of working knowledge of Formulary Management in Commercial and Medicaid environments.
Education: Minimum Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy and be a licensed pharmacist in the state of residence. Business Overview:
