Omnicare has an opening for a Pharmacy Manager in our Redding, California Pharmacy.

The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for coordination of daily operations within the pharmacy, which could include but is not limited to Triage, Pharmacists, Data Entry, Technicians, IV, Purchasing, Delivery, and Medical Resources departments.

Key Responsibilities:

·Responsible for the practice of pharmacy for which he/she is the PIC. The PIC must be physically present in the pharmacy a sufficient amount of time to provide supervision and control.

·Communicates and educates staff on pharmacy-related issues including, but not limited to, regulatory changes/compliance, FDA drug recalls, drug information, sample medications, and investigational studies.

·Notifies the pharmacy permit holder of potential violations of any statute, rule or court order existing within the pharmacy. Monitor industry, regulatory and compliance industry, regulatory and compliance developments (e.g., state Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, etc.) for pending regulatory changes and partner with Division Compliance Officer and pharmacy management to address them.

·Optimize cost management in line with script counts. Drive organic growth and mitigate risk with existing customer relationships. Meet/exceed site budgets. Leverage operating policies, procedures and process to ensure operational excellence.

·Ensure that all organization activities and operations are executed in compliance with state and/or federal regulations and laws governing financial and pharmacy operations.

·Ensure the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient information and property.

Management Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing employees with timely, candid and constructive feedback; developing employees to their full potential and providing challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD

  • Licensed Pharmacist in the State of California

  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry including the regulatory environment

  • Operational experience with a focus on operational excellence

  • Experience managing customer relationships, both related to business development and retention

  • Financial acumen and P&L experience

  • Business acumen

  • Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Sense of urgency and ability to effectively prioritize

  • Ability to manage change and operate within ambiguity

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
