Position Summary:

As the Front End Pharmacy Manager, you will lead and direct the Triage, Order Entry, Intake, Billing and Medical Records departments toward their primary objectives, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate leads. Your success will be driven by your ability to build a culture of continuous improvement and patient-focused care.

Key Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Establish current and long-range objectives, plans, and policies, subject to approval by the Omnicare Management.
  • Provide advice, mentorship, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures, consistent with established policies.
  • Ensure all prescriptions are entered into the system correctly and accurately with current payor information.
  • Review operating results of the organization, compare them to established objectives, and take steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
  • Control payroll costs.
  • You should establish and maintain an effective system of communications throughout the organization.
  • Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
  • Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 months of work experience required.

  • Pharmacy Technician Registration/License with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous pharmacy technician experience strongly preferred.

  • PTCB Certification preferred.

  • Prior management experience preferred.

  • Long-term care pharmacy experience preferred.


Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
