Position Summary:
As a Pharmacy Automation Technician in our Long Term Care Pharmacy, you will work in an exciting and fast paced environment. You will be responsible for filling prescriptions and traveling to our customers' facilities to service and maintain onsite dispensing systems. You will work together with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians and positively impact the lives of others.

As a Pharmacy Automation Technician, you will:
  • Manually fill and package medications based on the day to day needs of our Long Term Care facilities.
  • Utilize robotic medication packaging machines and other advanced technology to fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
  • Organize inventory stock shelves and perform medication destruction as needed.
  • Prepare medications to be delivered to facilities.
  • Travel to Long Term Care facilities to refill medications in automated dispensing systems

Position schedule: Mon - Fri, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

A successful Pharmacy Automation Technician will need to be accurate and detail oriented. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be standing for the length of your shift. Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with all levels of staff is also required. You will need to be able to do moderate lifting, bending and twisting as you select the necessary medication from the stock shelves.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be registered as a pharmacy technician with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred.

  • National Certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.


  • A verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required.
