Position Summary:

Job Summary:

Maintains front-end of the pharmacy (triage,order entry, medical records, intake) in accordance with federal and stateguidelines, as well as in accordance with Omnicare’s established policies andprocedures to assure that a complete pharmaceutical program is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

·Assistin orientation, training and education programs for all controlled substancetechnicians in accordance with policies, procedures, state and federal laws

·Contactsphysician on any narcotic prescriptions to receive a hard copy within therequired time frame per state statures

·Assistin keeping accurate of scheduled substances invoices

·Assistin reviewing the narcotic Rx’s are back in timely manner

·Runprescription logs, controlled dug logs, Rx cards; close out expired Rx’s;ensure completion of CII file

·Followall applicable government regulations including HIPAA.

·Otherduties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum (Required) Qualifications: (must be met in order to perform the job at
the required level)

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Pharmacy Technician Certification required

Previous Pharmacy Technician experience required

Knowledge of filling procedures for all patient
price codes

Knowledge of drug packaging procedures

Knowledge of dispensing database software

Fluent in all aspects of the English Language

Good oral communication skills

Ability to have strong communication with
Dispensing Pharmacists

Ability to effectively communicate with
employees, facility staff members, and others within organization

Ability to write routine correspondence and

Knowledge of basic math skills is required

Preferred Qualifications:
National Certified Pharmacy Technician

Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
