Our Prior Authorization & Appeals Pharmacy Technicians takes in-bound calls from members, providers, etc. Our Pharmacy Technicians provide professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. Our ideal Pharmacy Technician is national certified and maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist.
Our Pharmacy Technicians will also assist with other duties such as outbound calls, monitoring/responding to inquiries in mailboxes and other duties as assigned by the leadership team. (Medicaid)
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Effectively manage work volume by handling inbound calls/fax requests utilizing appropriate courteous and professional behavior based upon established standards
* Comply with departmental, company, state, and federal requirements when processing all information to ensure accuracy of information being provided to internal and external customers
* Sort incoming faxes in compliance with departmental and client requirements
* Communicate with Account Teams and other internal partners for timely resolution of appeals/exceptions. (Medicaid)

#pharmtechtalent Required Qualifications:
At least 1 year of previous customer service experience Preferred Qualifications:
* 1 year experience of Call center or Member Services experience
* 1-year healthcare industry related experience (hospital, managed care, physician office, PBM etc)
* CPhT registered Education:
