Position Summary:As a Pharmacy Technician in our Long Term Care Pharmacy, you will work in an exciting and fast paced environment, filling narcotic prescriptions and assisting in the medication dispensing process to ensure orders are fulfilled in a safe, efficient manner. As part of the control room team, you will work together with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians and positively impact the lives of others.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will:
A successful Filling Pharmacy Technician will need to be accurate and detail oriented while pulling the correct drug, strength and brand as indicated on each prescription label. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be standing for the length of your shift. Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with all levels of staff is also required.
- Manually fill and package all narcotic prescriptions based on the needs of our Long Term Care facilities in the pharmacy's secure control room.
- Package emergency kits (E-Kits) for care center facilities, organize inventory stock shelves and perform medication destruction as needed.
- Complete filing and documentation for all controlled substance medications according to state and federal laws.
Position schedule is Monday - Friday, 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm, plus one weekend per month.

Required Qualifications:Must be registered as a pharmacy technician with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.
Must obtain Merwin Pharmacy Certification training within a year from original date of hire.
Must remain in good standing with the Pharmacy Board requirements with regards to certification and or CE requirements. Preferred Qualifications:Education:
