CVS Caremark has an exciting opportunity for you as a prior authorization pharmacy technician. As a certified technician, you will take in-coming calls from members, providers, etc. to provide professional phone assistance to callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. As a technician, you will be able to maintain complete, timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist. As a pharmacy technician in this role you will possess the ability to deal with a diverse customer base in a friendly and confident manner (internal and external customers); have the ability to work in team environment and requires availability to work various shifts; and have the ability to learn new operating systems and new communication strategies. As a pharmacy technician for this position you must be flexible, organized and have excellent communication skills (oral, written, grammar, listening), possess PC skills in Windows-based applications required.
