Position Summary:
Exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician in the pharmacy to excel in a complex, high impact customer service role and positively impact the lives of others. Responsibilities of this Pharmacy Technician include all aspects of the filling of Mail Order prescriptions and the verification, packaging and delivery of prescription drug orders. The Pharmacy Technician performs the daily function of shipping and/or packing of prescription orders in accordance with standard operating procedures. Gain exposure and hands-on pharmacy technician experience in our Specialty Pharmacy, one of our fastest growing segments in the industry!

The Pharmacy Technician may also assist in accurately reading, interpreting and entering prescriptions into the computer system in a timely fashion. Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for routing questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification and must also be able to enter incomplete prescription information once clarification has been obtained. The right candidate will collaborate with a diverse team including technicians, pharmacists, patient service representatives, operations assistants, materials coordination, and leadership team.

Required Qualifications:
2 years of pharmacy technician experience

Must register for the North Carolina Pharmacy Technician Registration within 21 days of employment.

Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification


Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of drug names, standard dosages, dosage forms and delivery systems.

Understanding of medical terminology utilized in a Pharmacy.

Ability to collaborate with others to fill and ship accurate and timely orders.

Ability to utilize computer applications to enter data accurately and in line with production standards .

Must be able to recognize limitations on decision-making scope and be able to escalate issues falling outside of that scope.


Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
