UNDER GENERAL SUPERVISION, THE PHLEBOTOMIST ASSUMES RESPONSIBILITY FOR
PERFORMING PHLEBOTOMY SKILLS APPROPRIATELY ON PATIENTS OF ALL AGE GROUPSQualifications: Position Requirements:
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: PHLEBOTOMY CERTIFICATE PREFERRED.
- Education: HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION.
- Experience: PREFER ONE YEAR IN A HOSPITAL LABORATORY

Involves general guidance and direction by Supervisors and/or Department Manager. The employee will be expected to
perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, lifting, twisting, turning, crouching, climbing, sitting, kneeling, grasping, rapid working speed, depth perception, color vision, speaking clearly, high stress level, contact with blood borne pathogens, eye protection, gloves and foot protection.
