Position Summary : The Physical Therapist functions as a member of the healthcare team. The purpose is to provide medically prescribed physical therapy programs in the burn center in accordance with national standards and administrative policies of the hospital. The goal is to restore function and prevent disability following burns, wounds, disease, injury, surgery, or loss of a body part in order to allow the patient to perform to his/her maximum ability.
Physical Therapy: Population Served
Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient population(s) served: Cardiovascular, Orthopedic, neurologic, spine care, wound and burn care, pulmonary including but not limited to joint replacement, fractures, CVA/TIA, soft tissue injury, etc.
I. Minimum Requirements :
Education: Bachelor of Science in physical therapy from an accredited school.
Licensure/Certifications: Current Georgia Physical Therapy License. BLS required upon hire.
Experience: 2 years experience in an acute care setting desired
