Position Description
The Physician Practice Manager is responsible for managing all business aspects of the customer relationship for all assigned clients.  Coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure client requests are handled appropriately (i.e. within time and budget) while balancing client needs with company profitability.   In addition, the Associate Client Manager is responsible for developing reports related to client metrics, performance and financial trends as requested/needed by assigned clients. In particular, serves as McKesson's ambassador to ensure satisfaction of clients with McKesson services.  Aligns and partners with the operations team to drive execution and establish priorities. Supports special projects and conducts audits on operational processes and assesses data integrity as defined by the specialty (may include QA, charge capture reconciliation, payer credentialing, etc.).   Conducts other duties as assigned.
        • Serves as the liaison between the client and operations.
        • Builds client documentation (manuals, meeting minutes, etc.) and updates client database(s) as needed to ensure proper capture of client data.
        • Proactively manages requests for additional information as it relates to: payer trends, system interfaces, compliance, coding, regulatory changes, and budget variance and cash flow, for assigned clients.
        • Builds client relationship through demonstrated understanding of client needs.
        • Works to understand internal and external changes in the client market(s).
        • Identifies client improvement opportunities to enable the most efficient workflows for the client’s account receivable
        • Ensures ongoing client information flow through both verbal and written communications.
        • Works with Director, Client Management and/or Executive Director, Client Management, to reinforce the value of our services.
        • With direction from manager, executes on activities to activate "Promoters" (NPS scores 9 or 10), to build client reference base and drive service value.
        • Manages new client implementations, including collection of data.
        • Monitors and escalates potential contractual issues with client i.e out of scope requests 


Minimum Requirements
2+ years Healthcare Practice Mgt or Medical Billing experience

Critical Skills

Advanced -Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as data processing and analysis skills. Ability to develed within Excel - Pivot Tables, V- Look-Ups and ability to create formula's

Additional Knowledge and Skills

    • Client Business Reviews , Meetings and Implementations: 
    • As needed, conducts business reviews/client meetings and demonstrates a high level of planning and professionalism.
    • Prepares agenda, handouts, and presentations for assigned clients as it relates to: financial performance, current trends, operational excellence, and metrics. Coordinates with operations (as needed) to ensure proper information is included and presented.
    • Manages new client implementations, including collection of data, for assigned clients.
    • Revenue Cycle Analytics:
    • Uses data analytics tools to generate data and provide detailed reports.
    • Interprets and provides detailed reports as needed.
    • Practice Management:
    • As client contract dictates, receives direction from manager on maintenance of the practice’s managed care contract matrix, and provides timely recommendations to maximize customer revenues.
    • Client Invoicing:
    • Reviews client invoice information to ensure accuracy prior to client receipt. 
    • Manages collections process of invoices with McKesson's customers (DSO).
    • Serves as first point of contact for customers and finance with respect to client invoicing delays and/or inaccuracies. Escalates conflicts for resolution.
    • Collaborates with other BU functions:
    • Works collaboratively across functions (especially operations) to ensure operational excellence related to AR, payments, coding, customer service and all related services.
    • Ensures mutual understanding of goals, objectives and action plans related to client’s revenue and book of business.

BS degree or equivalent experience in Healthcare Practice Management or Medical Billing
