Position Description

This position will have the overall responsibility for the production scheduling, labor management analysis, slot information, strategic planning/forecasting and workforce management systems.  In this role, the Planning Manager is responsible for production schedule and balancing to meet daily service throughput and productivity objectives utilizing software and automation solutions to achieve goals.


The position will communicate daily with Operations Management to ensure specific needs are addressed.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead, direct, and coordinate activities in support of a 7 day a week operation for the DC 
  • Communicate daily with the DC management team to ensure specific needs are addressed
  • Responsibility for accuracy and timelines of daily/weekly/monthly planning reporting and forecasting
  • Using data analysis and research provide timely solutions and recommendations for improving DC operations

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements
3+ years product control experience and demonstrated leadership skills

Critical Skills
  • 5 + years operational experience including; 3+ years managerial experience. 
  • Advanced level skills in MS Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Adept at data analysis
  • Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate cross functionally and at all levels and maintain strong business relationships
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Extensive knowledge of product flow through distribution center and impact of bottlenecks
  • Must be open to flexible day hours Monday through Friday with flexibility for overtime based on business needs

Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • 4 year degree preferred
  • Six Sigma – base knowledge
  • Very thorough knowledge of Operations Management
  • Experienced in a high transaction customer sensitive environment

Education
4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
