Eaton located in Fitzgerald, GA is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician on 1st Shift

Position Overview  
This position is responsible for performing and assisting with planning all activities to maintain the building, equipment, systems  and infrastructure in compliance with Eaton Standards and State and Federal Regulations. The incumbent will participate in our EBS Eaton Business System, Eaton Lean System, and Quality system. Support the Mission Statement, Commitment to Quality, EBEA Initiatives, Quality Operating System and ISO 9001-2015 QMS.
 
Essential Responsibilities
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance program utilizing MP2 software.
  • Make efficient and effective repairs to ensure that operational targets are met.
  • Work with all warehouse functions to maintain and improve all equipment and processes in the plant.
  • Work with other departments on continuous improvement projects, Kaizen events, Lean events and special projects to improve all aspects of the plant operation.
  • Communize (improve) in all areas of the equipment and process with the goal of cost reducing improvements.
  • Work with other departments when needed to maximize output and maintain delivery performance to customers.
  • Dispose of all waste materials in accordance with MESH standards, facility standards and state and federal regulations.
  • Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Perform all duties according to MESH guidelines, safety training, Life Saving Rules and job specific instructions.
  • Complete all assigned training, as scheduled and demonstrate knowledge of material through hands on applications.
  • Ensure that all guards are properly installed and functional on all equipment that you operate.
  • Support and contribute to MESH, Management of Environmental, Safety and Health system.
  • Other duties as required by management.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited instution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
  • No relocation is provided for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Fitzgerald, GA facility will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 Year experience in Maintenance at a Manufacturing or Warehousing facility
  • Minimum of 1 Year experience in machine repair.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 Years’ experience maintaining electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and spot welding equipment, motor controls and industrial systems
  • Previous experience with MP2, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
