Plant Manager

Adecco Executive Recruitment is currently searching for a Plant Manager for our client in Orlando, FL. You will be responsible for managing the entire production operation including materials management, welding, assembly, paint, test, shipping, quality control, maintenance, and manufacturing engineering using lean enterprise concepts. You will develop and administer policies and guidelines applicable to manufacturing operations.You will ensure operations meet established objectives including but not limited to safety, quality, delivery, and cost and develops and promotes human resource bench strength throughout all levels of the entire production operation.

Key Accountabilities:

Responsible for effective planning, coordinating and directing overall manufacturing activities.
Coordinates the development as well as the execution of manufacturing schedules, supervises the application of policies, methods and production standards
Insures that products and services meet established goals for safety, quality, schedule and cost
Keeps abreast of current business practices of manufacturing companies and evaluates what practices and concepts would be beneficial and feasible to implement in Manufacturing operations.
Coordinates efforts between individual departments in Manufacturing and ensures activities are in line with the Division and Business Unit goals, directives and policies.
Works with the needs of individual Manufacturing Team Managers to see that necessary resources are provided to accomplish desired goals and schedules, including the appropriate training and education.
Responsible for the development of and the compliance with the manufacturing budget. Responsible for supervision of 150-200 manufacturing employees, managing a $9 million employee expense budget, and a $10 million operating expense budget.
Responsible for determining the quantity of seasonal contract employees necessary to meet sales and customer requirements, while maintaining productivity standards.
Works closely with Human Resources in managing this temporary workforce.
Ensure that all Team Managers properly supervise their employees and ensure that their employees carry out their waste management activities.
Ensure that the facility complies with all requirements of federal, state, and local laws and regulations covering the generation, storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous waste.
Understand the applicable hazardous waste regulations in order to maintain full compliance.

You will have:

Bachelor's Degree in Management, Manufacturing Engineering or another technical discipline REQUIRED.
Manufacturing management experience of at least 8 years in increasing positions of responsibility
Broad and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing methods and production planning issues is required.
Predictive in nature must be able to anticipate needed corrections and implement corrective actions.
Strong logic and analytical skills are required.
Frequently faces supervisory matters and other situations requiring explanation and/or persuasion.
Good communications and interpersonal skills are critical in order to interface with and motivate all levels of personnel.
Must have an in-depth understanding of manufacturing financial principles
Position requires the ability to deal with both internal and external contacts when carrying out company policy.

Specialized Knowledge, Equipment, and Applications:

Possesses an understanding and has experience with Engineering processes, Safety and Environmental management and Human Resources principles.
PC skills and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software is required.
