You'll set-up, run and adjust manufacturing equipment per specialized standards. You'll fill out production documentation, perform raw material management, conduct mixing and blending of raw material components, manage finished goods packaging, and conduct the grinding of production scrap, in addition to supporting Lean Manufacturing principles.
Key Job Accountabilities:
* Operates equipment and may perform troubleshooting as needed
* Performs and maintains regular checks and fills out production documentation
* Takes action to ensure quality limits are hit and productivity targets are met
* Monitors raw material usage and tracks finished goods inventory
* Organizes work area and work team and maintains a clean work area. Assists with total machine clean up
* Ensures work environment is in safe working condition and that it is operated in a safe manner
* May provide direction to lower level employees
Specific Work Experience:
* Experience with repetitive tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals and fractions
* Understanding of weights and measures, including metric
* Ability to read precision measuring instruments
Minimum Requirements:
* High School diploma or GED
* 3 years' experience within a manufacturing, military, or a technical trade
* Ability to remove molds and tooling weighing between 30 to 70 pounds
* Ability to utilize torque wrenches and various other hand tools
* Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and at 20 feet or more
* Ability to identify and distinguish product clarity and apparent defects while monitoring the product process
* Knowledge of general manufacturing principles of mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
* Experience working in a team environment to meet production goals
* Proven ability to handle multiple requests and competing priorities to meet production deadlines
* Experience within a plastics manufacturing environment is highly preferred
* Machine set-up and troubleshooting experience highly preferred
