Platform Architect

Position Summary:
The Platform as a Service team is looking for top architects to help in designing, innovating and building our next generation cloud-computing platforms based on open source technologies. Our PaaS is the core platform for our company’s cloud strategy. If you are passionate about cloud computing and opensource technologies such as Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker and Openstack and have a desire to lead architecture design and resolve challenging technical problems then this is the team for you.

The Platform Architect role can be based out of any CVS Health Corporate Office or remotely.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of large scale distributed infrastructure or software engineering experience.
- Minimum of 2 years experience delivering large system(s) architecture.
- Minimum of 5 years design and implementation experience in application cluster management and deployment to virtualized resources.

- Minimum of 1 year designing and implementing Cloud Foundry experience.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with any of the following languages: Spring, Go, Java, C#, Ruby, Python and Node.js
- Minimum of 1 year experience with a CI/CD pipeline GIT, Stash, BitBucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in OS virtualization and containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
- Experience working with IaaS hardware such as VxRack, VxRail, Nutanix and UCS.
- Experience in network function virtualization (NFV) and/or software define network (SDN) is a plus.
- Experience in one or more of following open source projects is a plus: RabbitMQ, Cloudfiy, ElasticSearch, CoreOS/etc, Kubernetes, Openstack.
- Migration from Monolithic application development to micro-services.
- Experience in big data real time analysis is a plus.

- Experience in multi cloud platforms: Openshift, AWS Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google App Engine, Heroku, or other PaaS technologies.

High School Diploma/GED required.
