The Population Health Senior Manager will be responsible for developing the strategy, messaging, and tactics around population health for Amgen's US Value and Access (USV&A) customers. This individual will help Amgen's Organized Customer Account Team (OCT) initiate and manage collaborations with Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) and payer customers. This individual will be responsible for prioritizing and managing collaborative agreements with customers on a day to day basis and ensuring that the projects are completed in a timely manner. This individual will also be responsible for developing field based disease state resources that will be of value to commercial payers, Integrated Delivery Networks, Accountable Care Organizations, and Independent Physician Associations. Finally, the Population Health Senior Manager will be responsible for networking with the population health community and educating the Amgen internal organization on the importance of population health and other policy related topics.
Act as champion for Population Health at Amgen Inc.
Facilitate collaborative agreements between Amgen and OCT customers (commercial payers, Integrated Delivery Networks, Accountable Care Organizations, and Independent Physician Associations)
Align cross functional work streams including Global Health Economics (GHE), Centers for Observational Research (Cfor), Medical, OCT, digital health, and brand to support population health initiatives.
Ensure population health priorities and alignment with Reimbursement/Value/Access Leads, OCT leads, and brand leads
Engage with vendors that can assist with population health related projects.
Manage project budgets.
Develop population health resources, training and tools for OCT account team
Execute ad board meeting and identify key advisors in the area of population health
Attend conferences and identify speaking opportunities for population health successes at Amgen Inc.
Market population health achievements to appropriate customers through personal and non-personal promotional channels
Doctorate degree and 2 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience
Master's degree and 4 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience
Associate's degree and 10 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience
Sales or account management experience
Experience in disease state marketing
Background in public health
Strong understanding of Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) within the US including coverage and reimbursement, pricing, value drivers, formulary management, health technologies assessment and health policy.
Strong skills in strategic thinking, project management, matrix management, and customer relations/advocacy
Experience managing data related projects
Experience in roles covering different therapeutic areas or different segments
Ability to be creative and think outside the box
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects
Ability to lead a cross functional team, including customer teams
