The position requires the development of computational models for cardiac mechanics. The candidate must have ability to perform independent research including reading scientific literature, constructing mathematical models and preparing articles for publication in high impact journals. The candidate should have a background in cardiac physiology as well as background in one or more of the following: linear algebra, projective and differential geometry, tensor analysis, approximation theory, Fourier analysis, and variational methods. The candidate should also have an experience to make basic prototypes of the finite element models in Matlab. The position requires daily interactions with group team members and potentially also with external collaborators. Candidates with a proven track record of productive scientific work and publications in high impact journals are preferred.
