Job Description
The Amgen Postdoctoral program is committed to providing future scientists with an enriching environment to inspire innovation that will contribute to the development of human therapeutics. Dr. Jonathan Phillips in the Inflammation department at Amgen, Inc. is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow.

This position will involve analysis of respiratory epithelium function, ion transport, airway hydration and mucus clearance. It will work within a multidisciplinary team with access to state of the art technology. The Postdoc will be encouraged to attend and present at scientific conferences and publish results. The position will independently design and execute experiments and interpret results.

Basic Qualifications:
PhD at the time of appointment

Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Engineering, Physics, Biophysics, Physiology, Cell Biology, or Molecular Biology
Previous tissue and cell culture experience
Technical instrumentation skills
Experience in measuring biophysical properties of polymers/mucus, in vivo work, and high level programming in MATLAB and R
Strong scientific track record as evidenced by published or accepted papers in peer-reviewed journals
Exceptional hands-on experimental skills
