IBM is seeking candidates for Postdoctoral Researcher positions in areas of science and technology to work at its Cambridge, MA or Yorktown Heights, NY locations.
Candidates are expected to perform foundational research in a wide range of topics such as quantum computing, neuromorphic computing, system and component design from low frequency to tera-hertz range, Internet of Things, medical technologies and integration and miniaturized systems. We are looking for self -motivated candidates who initiate and drive projects, who form teams within IBM and the external scientific community, who are technical leaders, and are recognized as such internally and externally. We will consider candidates from diverse fields of science, technology and medicine with demonstrated research and publication records. The candidates are also expected to contribute to the commercialization of the resulting assets. Demonstrated communication skills and ability to work in a team are essential. Ability to work self-directed utilizing the latest tools and techniques in their field is highly desired.
A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or a related area is preferred.
