Tufts Health Freedom Plan (THFP) is a unique joint venture between a group of NH hospital systems (Granite Health) and Tufts Health Plan, offering very competitive products, integrated care management and superior quality of care. The President of THFP champions the value proposition for the health plan and has overall responsibility for the successful profitable growth and effective service operations of the Plan. The President reports to the THFP Board of Directors.
Creates a clear and comprehensive vision, strategy and annual business plan for driving growth and profitability. Ensures that the board is well informed regarding the status of performance against membership and financial targets, and associated initiatives designed to achieve the annual plan objectives.
Develops and nurtures relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, brokers, providers, regulators, legislators, board members, appropriate business organizations and internal THP partners. Acts as a champion and advocate for the plan; works to cultivate new business, responds to market or regulatory challenges, resolves service and operational concerns, and successfully manages multiple matrix relationships and partners across THP.
Delivers on the value proposition for Tufts Health Freedom Plan, the partnership between committed delivery systems and Tufts Health Plan to improve quality and lower total medical expense through sustainable changes in the way health care is delivered.
Leads the day-to-day business development and client service efforts through a dedicated team of THP sales, marketing and account management staff.
Is a member of the THP leadership team and reports to the President of THP Commercial Products for purposes of administrative management. Actively develops and maintains key relationships with THP network contracting, clinical, product and actuarial leaders and staff. Also actively develops and maintains key relationships with hospital CEOs and medical/clinical leadership staff at partner hospital delivery systems. Works effectively within the organization to ensure that products are meeting market needs, problems are effectively identified and solved, and annual sales and profitability targets met.
