The Role

This role will be responsible for developing a comprehensive adoption plan for our professional sellers so as to ensure competitive pricing on our marketplace.  This role will be instrumental in helping craft the product experience for our sellers - what to display to sellers and where – but also all aspects of the lifecycle of product marketing.  This includes defining the value proposition, creating marketing message, and determining seller outreach and communications plans.  Specifically, this role will have goals associated with driving competitive pricing on our marketplace and seller adoption of that pricing. 

This role will leverage resources and personnel across the company.  As a result, this person must be adept at working across different layers of the organization and driving alignment across various teams.  Communication skills and persuasive abilities will be critical. 

This person will be responsive driving a comprehensive view of the entire seller experience, from the product vision to the marketing messages.  As a result, this person will need to be conversant in the intricacies of customer needs, product development, marketing.  A deep understanding of analytics and metrics is crucial.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proven ability to create and execute successful go-to-market strategies
  • Plan new product launch and manage the cross-functional implementation
  • Ability to drive alignment across teams and provide indirect leadership through persuasion
  • Shape communication & strategic positioning around product
  • Build customer / product feedback loop and identify critical product features
  • Explain benefits of product features via customer facing messaging
  • Support product activation for regional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering. MBA or equivalent experience desired
  • 8+ years in product marketing, product management
  • Strong understanding of analytics and the ability to read what customers are saying from the data
  • Background in product marketing in a plus
  • Effective communicator who can passionately articulate the vision and inspire collaboration
  • Strong negotiation skills along with ability to work within a highly matrix organization
  • Team player, energetic personality, quality minded, focused, committed, able to work independently in a fast paced, changing environment
