What We Do Directly, and through our subsidiaries, Omnicare provides a broad array of pharmacy-related services to long term care facilities and to other customers in the healthcare environment. While senior care has long been an Omnicare specialty, we also serve other targeted populations.
Key responsibilities include documenting contract pricing requests and the appropriate approvals for the requests, ensuring the request proceeds to the next level of approval as approval bench marks are met, ensuring the complete and accurate completion of the pricing request forms, monitoring a departmental e-mail box and addressing any issues or concerns, and producing a status report on all open contract pricing requests. This position reports to the Director of the Corporate Pricing Department.
Required Qualifications: The successful Specialist Level 1 will have a clearly demonstrated history of:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to learn the contract pricing request forms
- Must be able to determine which fields are required based on the circumstances of the request
- Must have basic Excel skills
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Working with minimal supervision and managing the priorities of many tasks.
- Superior reasoning skills.
- Clear, effective and efficient communication, both written and verbal, with people of various levels of power.
- Bachelor's degree from a 4 year college or university preferred.
- 3+ years of health care related experience or training in a pricing.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and managing the priorities of many tasks.
- Strong reasoning skills.
- Access skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent
