The primary purpose of this role is to work closely with the VIR Planning and Implementation team to develop data driven category pricing and promotional Omni-Channel analyses/insights in support of meeting US Home Improvement, Value Strategy and Insights, and Merchandising business objectives. This role plays a significant role in supporting Lowe's overall pricing and promotional strategy and will drive recommendations with respect to strategy while offering insights around customer value segments, market dynamics, and competitors. This includes responsibility for ensuring Omni-Channel value strategies are monitored, measured and analyzed to drive continuous improvement of pricing and promotional strategies. This role will also provide thought leadership for process improvements to monitoring and analyzing pricing and promotional strategies. This role will be responsible for reviewing the processes analysts perform, including coaching, mentoring and education on the value integration processes to ensure accuracy of the data and will execute enterprise wide pricing and promotional ad hoc analyses requested by key stakeholders across Lowe's and must develop partnerships across the business and functional areas of the organization (e.g., Measure & Evaluate) to collaborate on pricing and promotional analysis and findings. This role contributes to Lowe's success by driving sales and margin improvement to achieve annual return on invested capital objectives.

RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENTS
• Provides Value Planning and Implementation with on-going analyses and feedback on strategy effectiveness
• Works directly with merchandising to update product pricing relationships that drive modeled price elasticities and gains alignment on competitive comparable items in support of competitive scorecarding effort
• Reviews and provides markdown performance relative to optimized price recommendations and strategy improvements
• Provides detailed sales and margin analysis on pricing, promotional performance and impact
• Provides on-going competitor insights that impact strategy and category profitability
• Attends the Product Line Review Strategy meetings as a representative of VIR providing feedback on category pricing and promotional strategy performance and data driven insights
• Uncovers pricing and promotional strategy deviations and performs impact analysis with a point of view into the category strategy
• Performs what if strategy analysis consistently challenging pricing and promotional strategies seeking continuous category performance improvement
• Drives process improvements into the inputs and strategy presentations provided to the merchant teams in the Product Line Review process
• Analyzes price, volume, revenue and profit data to determine financial impact and performance of pricing, promotional and new product initiatives
• Analyzes large amounts of data and provides recommendations based on analyses
• Develops and compiles documentation needed to prepare for strategy kick off meeting as part of the line review process
• Participates in competitive research initiatives to benchmark pricing nationally
• Interprets analyses, provides actionable recommendations, and articulates a point of view to key stakeholders, merchants and executive management
• Drives continuous process improvement of pricing and promotional sales and margin opportunity analyses
• Presents analysis findings to Executive leadership and ensures confidence in the findings
• Monitors sales and margin opportunity recommendations and reports out on the financial performance
• Performs status reporting for management level and departmental review
• Assists the Analyst, Value Integration with answering unique merchant questions and analysis requests
• Provides direction on the interpretation and gathering of data insights
• Trains and educates new Analysts, Value Integration on Omni Channel Integration and Analytics processes and procedures
• Creates and facilitates training programs to educate the enterprise on the Analyst, Value Integration role and the value the role brings to the Product Line Review process and the managing of strategy performance
• Develops methodology and material to educate merchandising on the Analyst, Value Integration role, and consults with Analysts, Value Integration to provide recommendations and point of view into merchant pricing strategies
• Assists Analyst, Value Integration with daily questions and concerns from the merchandising community
• Mentors new Analysts, Value Integration to ensure they have a daily point-of-contact while learning their role and responsibilities
• Provides input into enhancements for software application and system upgrades that align with Lowe's business and pricing and promotional strategies
• Recommends improvements to the merchant/Analyst, Value Integration business process and workflow in the Product Line Review process
• Develops data analytic tools to create efficiencies or preserve accuracy of data
• Meets or exceeds stakeholders expectations; looks for ways to improve their financial performance, while creating a seamless experience
• Drives for results by consistently achieving goals and delivering business objectives
• Works cross-functionally to manage and organize work processes and ensure most efficient work flow
• Supports a collaborative environment by working in a team of peers to solve problems and shares information with peers, manager, and customers as appropriate
• Coaches and mentors analyst in the planning and delivery of pricing and promotional strategies

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field and 2+ years experience in data analytics
Or
• 6+ years combined experience in pricing, merchandising, finance or related field in lieu of degree and experience requirements above
• 3+ years experience using Access and Excel to translate business objectives/goals into actionable pricing and promotional recommendations
• 2+ years experience using pricing & promotional analytics or forecasting tools

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
• 1+ years experience in Home Improvement Retail
• 1+ years experience participating or providing input into merchandising line review
• 1+ years experience synthesizing large and diverse data sets to develop pricing and promotional recommendations
• 1+ years experience developing processes and procedures to support business objectives
• 2+ years experience in retail pricing and promotional organization
• 2+ years experience working in a multi-channel environment
