Join the fast-pace Hybrid Cloud Platforms Business Operations team within the Converged Platforms and Solutions Division at Dell EMC. Make a difference by driving and managing programs supporting the development of Dell EMC’s Cloud Strategy. The Principal Program Manager will be responsible for program and project managing various initiatives for Dell EMC’s Hybrid Cloud Platforms organization.
**Responsibilities and Deliverables:**
+ Manage full scope and various specific stages of one or more highly complex, high profile programs/projects as part of Hybrid Cloud Program initiatives.
+ Incorporate changes driven from both within and outside the program that affect immediate and long-range goals and objectives.
+ Develop the overall project plan, drive down and provide reports on business projects within the program.
+ Coordinate and manage PMT leads and provide direction, monitor development and report to BMT on overall goals, schedules and resources.
+ Lead and/or manage multiple strategic cross-functional teams, both internal and external to EMC, and coordinate the work through PMT functional leads. Develop, define and manage execution of critical program elements. Lead cross-functional priority setting and resource allocation relative to each program, project and/or initiative. Ensure issues are identified and appropriate actions are tracked and taken to resolution and closure.
+ Facilitate partner alignment and maintain multiple partner relationships with cross-functional Dell EMC groups to ensure successful completion of program deliverables. Manage business owners and executive work stream owners. Deal with the daily challenge of cross-business functions, managing and orchestrating the work of business and work stream owners
+ Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have experience managing the full scope of a program for a business unit’s new product introduction, preferably at Dell EMC, from concept and design through market introduction and to end of life planning. This person will have experience utilizing all of the necessary tools to manage the program and coordinate the teams involved.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is a plus.
5-7 years of experience managing a full product lifecycle using Regatta and other processes.
Systematic and strategic thinker with astute interpersonal skills.
Expertise working with MS Project and Excel as management, tracking and reporting tools.
Results-oriented with the ability to make tough decisions to achieve goals.
Working knowledge of collaboration, file sharing and version control tools.
Ability to build and manage teams.
Strong program management skills; PMI certification is preferred.
Ability to manage in a matrix environment.
