Responsible for performing inspections and/or audits of purchased parts, materials, equipment and quality control programs. Performs manual and administrative duties related to the shipping, receiving, storing, and the distribution of materials, parts, and equipment. Works in a production environment of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and/or Cabinet level assemblies. This associate performs various assembly functions under very limited supervision. Duties are not always well defined and job requires a comprehensive and in-depth understanding and knowledge of all the various products, processes, resources and Manf. Infrastructure to complete assigned task. Assigned areas could be but not limited to New Product Introduction, RMA Refurb, Cab Integration, Sub Assembly, Drive Assembly and/or packaging, prepping and preparing product for shipment for internal and external customers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Applies extensive knowledge and skills to complete specialized tasks. Comprehensive understanding of general and technical aspects of the job.
Projects include complex problem resolution, applying policies, procedures and practical application of the general and specific technical aspects of the job.
Work is completed with minimal supervision. Assignments may be completed without established procedures.
Performs periodic Inventory Scans. Executes Inventory Reconciliations. Assists Inv. Coord. and Planners. Assists ESS PRE technicians in basic process functions.
In-depth understanding and knowledge across all assembly functions and proven ability to apply knowledge in any production assembly operations or Prep. Build New Prototype, Beta and Qualification Subassemblies and Cabs.
Continue to build on the knowledge base of ERP shop floor control functions with the ability to navigate all production ERP screens. Train lesser skilled employees on ERP applications and forms. Ability to assist and represent the area on new ERP Releases.
Follow all processes and written assembly instructions, drawings, and schematics. Document and report any discrepancies between actual and documented process. Complete all production forms accurately.
Requires the ability to load and unload an ESS Chamber by retrieving a PCBA and installing it into a fixture backplane. Requires the ability to move a fully loaded wheeled board rack to wherever it is needed in the factory. Must have the ability to safely reach and remove a PCBA from a 3 tier storage rack ~ 5-5.5 ft in height. Requires the dexterity to unpack boxes of PCBA's when required. Requires close vision capability to recognize characters and bar-coding at 20 inches or less. Able to manipulate a scan gun and a computer keyboard.
