**Job Description:** The Principal Business Analyst will be a member of the services finance and operations team to identify, develop and prepare bookings-related information to support the Professional Services and Customer Support organizations. The candidate will work with deal desk, professional service teams, and revenue operations in support of a rapidly growing business and resolve a variety of business-related challenges. Candidate will develop operational reports and analyses to drive continuous improvement in utilization, profitability, and customer satisfaction for delivery organization. Additionally will work with IT and relevant business partners to recommend improvements to systems and tools, documents internal business use cases and translates business requirements into process/functional design/system solutions and evaluates business process implications of system requirements and make appropriate redesign recommendations. The Principal Business Analyst must be capable of providing strategic technical insight with respect to each functional area and share expertise on concerns with integrating with other current systems. **PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Lead process of translating services bookings to project set-up for delivery organization directly impacting resource planning, sales compensation, and revenue accounting + Manages project initiatives through completion including project tracking, monitoring, reporting, and administration.Drive quarterly review of aged services backlog collaborating with deals desk and project managers, and facilitating process for de-booking services + Review integrity of data driving operational KPIs and metrics, and partner with Services organization to update/refine + Review bookings order documents and provide technical expertise and guidance for bookings issues on custom SOWs or new service offerings + Prepare bookings reporting and analysis as part of monthly and quarterly close cycle + Complete ad hoc requests and analysis of operational data as needed + Provide day to day management of 2-3 business operations analysts. **DESIRED SKILLS:** + Demonstrate an ability to work independently and within a group acting as the subject matter expert + Strong analytical skills while maintaining data integrity and a sharp attention to detail + Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise format + Strong oral and written communication skills across various levels of the organization. + Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal customers and cross functional internal departments in order to manage information and the timely resolution of issues + Demonstrates fundamentals of professional behavior including accountability and an appropriate sense of urgency + Strong customer service and teamwork skills + Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables + Knowledge of services-oriented business and project accounting concepts preferred + Strong analytical and statistical ability + Strong communication skills + Maniacal attention to detail + Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment + Ability to collaborate with remote teams + Familiarity with SAP or SFDC/FFDC preferred + Education: Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred **EMC Values:** When you choose our company, you join a diverse world of innovative thought leaders.
