One of the most important topics in technology right now is Artificial intelligence. It’s considered the 4th industrial revolution impacting and is projected to have a massive impact on human capabilities and how we do business. We are looking for an experienced and passionate principal level design manager to drive one of our major investment areas.
As a key member of the Artificial Intelligence & Research design organization, you will have the opportunity to envision, design, and deliver solutions that bring cutting edge AI to transform how industries connect with their customers.
In this position, you will manage a team centered around natural language and voice experiences. You will partner closely with customers, PM, engineering, and design research to build the AI experiences of the future. You will be expected to think beyond current conventions, and be in a constant state of learning. This is a dynamic and quickly growing field.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to solve product, business and design challenges, as well as bring elegance and simplicity to the end-user experience. You must have impeccable UX capabilities and a critical design eye. You must be hyper organized, an inspirational manager, and capable of nurturing innovation. Ideally you are already working in the chat and voice space and are familiar with the design patterns and technology.
•Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Communication Arts, Information Design or equivalent
•10+ years (post education) as a UI/UX designer in company or agency setting
•7+ years as a design manager experienced with building teams and setting design direction
•A strong design portfolio emphasizing web, app and mobile interaction and design skill
•Ability to work through end-to-end design process – from workflow and wireframes, to design, and through redlines
•Strong knowledge of current design tools, including Sketch and Adobe CC
•The ability to work independently under tight deadlines
•Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail
•Excellent communication skills
•Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
•Prior experience with natural language user interface is a plus
•You must be able to roll up your sleeves and bring concepts to life through visuals, code, vision videos, etc.
•Exceptional product, strategic and systems thinking stills as it pertains to designing novel experiences
