Job Duties: Provide technical expertise in developing solutions to complex software engineering problems. Interface with senior management to provide and obtain information and gain consensus regarding project direction. Maintain technical architecture for applications. Responsible for adding, maintaining and extending application components. Work closely with functional resources to ensure that applications are fulfilling EMC's business requirements. Activities will include all aspects of the development lifecycles, including analysis, design, development and testing. Responsible for reviewing and approving code, technical designs and unit test plans. Develop and maintain applications for business processes and systems. Authors Technical Designs that define how a functional design will be technically enabled. Develop Unit Test Plans to test programs and ensure that standards and policies are adhered to. Provide production support of applications in production by trouble shooting issues, proposing solutions, develop and test fixes and migrate solutions. Propose design changes/suggestions to processes and products and exert significant latitude in determining objectives of an assignment.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree in Comp. Sci., Engin.(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field. 24 months experience in job offered or student (RA/TA/project) or computer-related occupation. Education or experience must include: 1) T-SQL Database Programming; 2) Database Design (data modeling, logical and physical database design); 3) Developing ETL processes using BI tool; 4) MDM and data quality; 5) Report development using Programing Languages (Perl, PHP); 6) DW architecture/methodologies (Dimensional Modeling); 7) MS SQL Server (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS); 8) ETL/Cube development using OLAP; and 9) Data Mining Methodologies. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
