This is an extremely challenging area. If you join our team, you will learn (at least) OS internals, database internals, storage, networking, security protocols, and web services. Our work also requires a meticulous, scientific approach to problem analysis. Because data sizes grow exponentially year after year, our team will always be faced with the hardest problems in the data recovery field.
We will be happy to discuss any of our exciting technologies more with you during an in-person interview. Additionally, a strong background in OS and concurrency issues is always a great help on our team.
Our team's products are the last line of defense against data loss. If you are up to the challenge of designing and writing software that will be used by hundreds of thousands of Oracle's customers when
all else has failed, then this is the right position for you.
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
