To influence and increase the Office365 customer satisfaction, the Office365 Satisfy team is looking for a customer-obsessed and results-focused Principal Engineering Manager.
As a Principal Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of Software Engineers and Data Scientists that are creating and improving machine learning models & engineering systems to increase the Office365 customer self-help rate and reduce the volume of support incidents, leading to an increase in customer satisfaction and reduction in support-related COGS. You will also personally design and lead the implementation of core features involving data storage systems, ticket volume forecasting, issue bucket prediction, and service oriented architecture. We are looking for a manager with a proven track record managing and building high performing teams spanning a broad band of seniority levels, experience building and running cloud services, the architectural skills to build durable platforms, the curiosity to dig deep into data & seek out innovative solutions, the agility to work on a broad range of features (both directly and indirectly), the commitment to be a great partner to teams across the company, and a passion for delighting the customer.
• 10+ years of programming/software engineering/software
development experience on a large codebase, shipping
multiple commercial products or internet-scale cloud services.
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Demonstrated excellence in cross-group collaboration.
• Passion and proven experience delivering highly quality
products and services.
• Ability to design and lead implementation of complex systems
involving many, complex, technologies.
• Current fluency in C++, C#, and/or Java.
• Exceptional Sql, Data analytics, problem solving & people
• Desire to operate in an agile development environment.
• Familiarity with Exchange, Outlook, SharePoint, Azure, and/or
platform/API design are plusses
• Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modeling
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
