What you’ll be doing...

In this role, you will be joining the Envrmnt AR/VR team which is on the cutting edge of building next generation experiences and growing a brand new business at Verizon to scale.

The iOS software Engineer will guide the iOS team through an agile-like project development life cycle, interpreting and clarifying product requirements, producing prototypes, implementing solutions, providing technical leadership and mentoring junior team members. This role requires close collaboration with software architects, developers, product managers, as well as QA and operational teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Expert / Lead role that includes team leadership (teacher/mentor/coach) responsibilities, as well as leading and managing projects
  • Design and develop market-leading native iOS 360 video, AR and VR features
  • Produce architectural design and technical documentation
  • Represent iOS team to PMO
  • Validate and translate product requirements into technical requirements
  • Manage iOS team in the assessment of effort estimates, risk analysis, sprint planning, development execution, analysis and resolution of defects, build release

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of standard iOS interface components such as table views, collection views, navigation controllers, various button and control types, etc., as well as creating custom interface elements.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • 8+ years of relevant software development experience.
  • 5+ years in technical leadership/management role.
  • 6+ years of professional development experience.
  • Experience with Web Services (JSON and XML-formatted return data).
  • Pragmatic communicator with a working knowledge of agile methodologies (SCRUM).
  • Outstanding team player with proven experience leading other project team engineers when needed.
  • Strong understanding and experience with Graphics-driven development (OpenGL).
