Oracleis aggressively pursuing new business models and channels to sell audienceprofile data to marketers in different industry segments. One of the keychallenges in scaling a data based business is the speed at which the paymentsto the data suppliers are settled. Such payment calculations are very complexand tend to change as the business model evolves. Our team is focused onautomating the revenue processing pipeline and building the flexibility in thesystem so that the new revenue recognition models can be added on the fly. Theproject is an ambitious undertaking and requires that an engineer has acombination of strong technical skills and an ability to understand complexbusiness processes quickly.

Foll owing technical experiences are required:
  • 3 years in server-side Java application development
  • 1 years in Apache Hadoop data processing pipeline development
  • 1 years in using scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Scala
Following technical skills are strong plus:
  • Hands-on experience in coding SQL queries
  • Hands-on experience in coding RESTful APIs
  • Hands-on experience in designing large scale cloud applications
  • Hands-on experience with HDFS
Familiarity with following technologies is a plus:
  • PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle Database
  • Oracle WebLogic Application Server
  • Web application security (e.g. OAuth)
Conceptual Understanding of following will be a plus:
  • Online marketing data-based business model(s)
  • Revenue recognition processes
  • Supplier payments and adjustments

Qualifications:
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
