Principal Loan Ops Coordinator – Investor Reporting

The Investor Reporting team is responsible for delivering loan data and remitting funds to owners of loans serviced by Capital One.Timing of data delivery and funds remittance is determined by contract between Capital One and the investor.Funds are remitted daily, monthly or a combination of the two.Investor custodial bank accounts are monitored on a daily basis to ensure sufficient funds are available for remittance and to prevent overdrafts.Funds are remitted via draft or wire request, depending on the investor.Custodial account variances remaining after remittance are researched and resolved in coordination with Investor Accounting.

Summary:

The Servicing Principal Loan Ops is responsible for reporting and remitting to the investor, analysis and reconciliation of daily/monthly reporting. Analyzes various reports and collaborates with internal business partners and external partners when there are errors on the report or discrepancies in the data. They maintain all investor requirements and positive Investor scorecard results.They work with limited supervision in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Reporting to Investor(s)
  • Remit funds to Investor
  • Maintaining Custodial Account Balances
  • Research and Reconcile Custodial discrepancies
  • Collaborate with internal upstream and downstream business partners to identify process efficiencies
  • Maintain working relationship with Investor contacts in order to research and resolve reporting issues
  • Monitor and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance within Investor requirements
  • Maintain system settings to adhere to Investor rules and timelines

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification, or Military experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • At least 1 year experience in Financial Services
  • At least 1 year experience within Mortgage Servicing in Investor Reporting or Investor Accounting
  • At least 1 year experience in reporting to Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac/Ginnie Mae
  • Experience in accounting role, or 4 year degree in Finance or Accounting
