Are you interested in delivering large-scale, high performance, fault tolerant solutions for Oracle's Cloud Customers? Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure Networking team is building next generation Infrastructure-as-a-Service networking solutions that support the most demanding mission-critical customer requirements, and operate at cloud scale to provide a secure, distributed multi-tenant cloud environment.

Oracle's brand new IaaS network uses Software Defined Networking (SDN) principles to enable new platform features beyond existing technologies to support new customer use-cases in the IaaS space with strong security, availability and performance guarantees. Our software defined control plane is responsible for network management, virtualization and exposing multi-tenant network functions (NFV) to our customers.

We are looking for strong network engineers, systems engineers and software engineers to take on the challenge of engineering our software-defined network for scale and performance while providing strong guarantees of availability to our customers. Your team will have diverse expertise in networking, systems and software development to provide the stability, performance and reliability our customers need. You will build tools to address hard operational problems while enabling our service developers to remain agile and deliver feature changes. You will deliver the solutions that directly contribute to our customer's success.

Network Engineering:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Proficient with coding solutions in languages like Python or Ruby
  • Cisco CCNP / JNCIP
  • Deep knowledge of Internet Networking and datacenter network topologies (BGP, OSPF)
  • Extensive background in Cloud based technologies
  • 5 years of network administration on large scale networks
  • Expert troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with automated network management tools
  • Strong focus on delivering highly available solutions for [smart / intelligent / demanding ] customers


Preferred Qualifications:
  • B.S. or better in Computer Science or other engineering disciplines
  • CCIE / JNCIE certifications or equivalents
  • Proficient coding complex solutions in languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, C/C


  • Deep knowledge of Network availability and performance tuning (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, GRE, IPSec)
  • Familiar with cloud scaled datacenter network architectures
  • Familiar with network virtualization protocols and software suites
  • 5 years of network administration on large scale networks
  • 3 years of experience in production software development with Agile methodologies
  • Expert protocol level troubleshooting skills
  • Strong focus on self healing automated network systems at scale


Systems Engineering:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Proficient with Python, Ruby
  • Deep knowledge of Networking Services (TCP and UDP based, DNS, DHCP)
  • Extensive background in Cloud base technologies
  • Familiar with datacenter network routing protocols
  • Deep knowledge of Linux and host based networking
  • Expert Linux performance and stability troubleshooting skills
  • 5 years of systems administration on 2000 server environments


Preferred Qualifications:
  • B.S. or better in Computer Science or other engineering disciplines
  • Proficient in coding complex systems using Python, Ruby, Java, C/C
  • Deep knowledge of Networking (TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, IPSec)
  • Deep knowledge of Linux internals and host based networking
  • Deep focus on building secure Internet facing systems in hostile environments
