Principal Process Coach

The Role:
As a Process Consultant (Principal Associate) at Capital One, you will be part of a smart, talented team responsible for partnering with internal business customers to embed and cultivate process principles across multiple teams or organizations. The Process Consultant will play a key role in introducing process tools and mindsets to help design, manage and improve processes that impact the company’s bottom line. In this position you will contribute immediately while strengthening your process management best practices.

-Apply process knowledge in financial service environment according to internal Capital One process (SLQ)

-Be able to leverage existing process knowledge (ie: documents swim lanes, create CTQ’s/metrics, identify top risks, perform value stream analysis)

-Take process knowledge and be able to apply to the area of Auto Finance Servicing

- Acting as a process (Lean, Six Sigma) subject matter expert/Coach to effectively partner with business customers to achieve desired outcome or improvement by clarifying needs and providing appropriate solutions
- Engaging with associates at various levels of the organization by utilizing our define, measure, and improve methodologies. Examples include: quality circles with front line performers, clearly defining/managing processes with process managers, and introducing new process strategies with process owners
- Collecting data and using analytics (excel, terradata, root cause analysis) to influence and provide transparency to senior leadership and executives 
- Identify and implement process improvements utilizing kaizen or hot house activities 
- Looking at the macro process agenda for potential risk/themes and performing cost-benefit analysis
- Understanding customers’ needs of the process and driving process improvements through facilitation of journey maps, servicing blueprints, or voice of the customer surveys

- Design and facilitate process-related training to business customers
with teammates on larger initiatives

Basic Qualifications: 
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
- At least 1 year of process management experience

- At least 1 year of experience with swim lanes or at least 1 year of experience with value streams maps

- At least 1 year of experience facilitating a process conversation

Preferred Qualifications: 
- Master’s Degree 
- Lean Certification

- Agile Certification
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
- Business Process Management Certification
- Project Management Professional Certification
