**Job Description:** ScaleIO is a revolutionary Software Defined Storage platform for building scale-out block storage on top of pools of commodity servers. ScaleIO is uniquely positioned to be the market leader as the industry shifts away from large monolithic storage appliances to more of a grow-as-you-go commodity based approach to IT. The next generation of Platform 3 applications and infrastructures will demand a far different approach to hyper-growth over the next decade. This person will be responsible for defining the ScaleIO Networking Stack strategy and managing relationships with partners and other parts of the DellEMC. Responsibilities include providing leadership in the development of business plans and strategy for new features. The person will also be responsible for understanding customer use cases, current gaps and define prioritized list of features to drive. The Product Manager will be involved in daily product planning activities and should be familiar with Product Requirements Management practices as well as product requirements tracking and prioritization techniques. This person will attend all of the critical regular product planning meetings and will work in concert with Program Management and Engineering to deliver compelling new products to market. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages end-to-end activities for ScaleIO including Networking roadmap Responsible for optimizing existing products and bringing new products to market, including economic analysis of product cost feasibility. Directs, develops and establishes operational policies within the product family or business line that they manage. Participates in strategy development. Is responsible for the effective operation of activities of major significance to the organization. Responsible for defining and realizing market share, profitability, and other key metrics as goals for a product portfolio. SKILLS Leadership skills. Ability to work effectively with senior management and senior engineering team. Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge. In depth understanding of Networking products and architectures. Depth of knowledge around enterprise storage technology and trends. Depth of knowledge around product planning & requirements management. Possesses strong technical, mathematics, and analytical skills. Knowledge of product cost, margins, and forecasting. Customer focused. Negotiation skills. Ability to influence others to achieve results.
