Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure and Operations (MCIO) is the team behind Microsoft’s expanding Cloud Infrastructure and responsible for powering Microsoft's Cloud First mission. MCIO is responsible for Microsoft’s cloud around the world with our server and data center infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability solutions. Within MCIO, Cloud Supply Chain and Provisioning Engineering team is responsible for the supply chain planning and execution of capacity, from procurement through deployment of servers in the datacenters. We are looking for an experienced project manager with a strong passion for customer focused solutions and technical expertise who can envision and implement future technical solutions to manage and optimize Cloud infrastructure at scale. This is a broad cross-team role with high visibility. You will collaborate closely with teams inside MCIO and C&E to build sourcing and procurement solutions that enables Microsoft meet its cloud growth.
Ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, coordinate develop across engineering teams then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing business needs.
Solid understanding of key performance indicators (KPI?s) and metrics for managing services performance.
Planning and executing solution development using agile development processes.
8+ years Technical Project Management Experience
Strong Data and Analytical Experience.
Exposure to Supply chain background is a must.
Optimizes business impact by understanding and applying data-driven intelligence to create change; quickly applies these industry/partner/customer derived insights to inform decisions and drive strategy.
Ability to operate independently and hands on experience in analyzing and developing metrics is a must.
Strong appetite for analyzing and distilling large amount of data.
Exposure to predictive modeling is preferred.
Brilliant follow-up and follow-through, and ability to deal with ambiguity
Effectively demonstrates cross group Leadership and drives alignment and team work across organizational boundaries
Experience managing cross-functional initiatives is a must
