The Azure Networking organization is responsible for Microsoft's entire Cloud network, spanning Azure and all of Microsoft's 1st party cloud services such as Office365, Bing, XBOX, and Windows Update. We own the software defined network end to end from the Azure Virtualization Host, Datacenter and Regional routers, Wide Area Network backbone, Edge across 120+ global points of presence, and global services such as DNS, Load Balancing, CDN, and DDoS protection.
This role is focused on delivering new global networking services to address cloud service scale, delivery, and security solutions for our Azure customers. You will be entering on the ground level with opportunity to define go to market plans and product scope. This role will have responsibility for a slice of the Networking Business P&L. Though it's not required to have previous P&L experience, you must demonstrate an ability to think strategically about the marketplace, competitors, and filtering customer needs into great products. Some previous experience directly interacting with customers is important. This role will require engaging with some of Azure's most strategic enterprise customers and representing Azure and the company at major conferences.
Strong technical skills and proficiency are necessary, particularly cloud application design patterns, how the Internet works, and any specific Azure or networking experience or knowledge. You must be able to leverage such skill into connecting and translating customer scenarios and asks into product designs which customers love and are easy to use and competitive.

• 10+ years of software program/product management experience (or mixed software development and product management experience)
• Bachelor’s or higher in computer science or a related IT field
• Proven track record in delivering products to customers, particularly cloud services
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• A demonstrated ability and bias towards quickly learning and acquiring new skills
• Azure or networking specific knowledge a plus
