The candidate will join the Computational Sciences group within Discovery Science, to develop and implement cutting-edge analytical approaches across –omic datasets to aid in target identification, validation, pathways of drug resistance and synthetic lethality, and mode of action studies to support the identification of small and large molecule therapeutics for disease indications listed above. Analysis of genome scale functional genomic screens will be a cornerstone of the effort, and understanding how to integrate other appropriate –omic datasets will be key. S/he will work in an exciting, interdisciplinary environment, overlapping the different stages of drug discovery, and interacting with several internal and external groups. The candidate should be highly self-motivated and able to work independently. Responsibilities for the candidate will include, assisting in the design of cellular experiments and screens using shRNA, CRISPR/Cas9, and other functional genomics screens. Moreover, the candidate will drive the analysis of screening data in combination with large clinical data sets, RNAseq, CHIPseq, proteomic, metabolomic, and other types of metadata. The candidate is expected to be able to communicate his/her results to a team of diverse backgrounds in a clear and efficient manner. S/he should demonstrate a sense of urgency, be organized and adhere to sensitive timelines.
