The Oracle Key Vault team is a diverse group of talented people who are passionate about doing what we can to improve data security in general and key management in particular. As there is proliferation of keys and other credentials in the corporate IT and cloud, key management is becoming an ardous task for enterprises. Oracle Key Vault simplifies this task. As a product, Oracle Key Vault is a full-stack, security hardened software appliance that manages the TDE Master Keys, Oracle Wallets, Java keystores and credential files. It intergrates directly with Oracle TDE, MySQL, ACFS.
We are looking for a software developer to help us develop the next generation Oracle Key Vault appliance. This position will involve continuous scrutiny of the security of the appliance, as well as going from a rough customer use case to a concrete design all the way to implementing and delivering the new feature.
At least 8 years of development experience in the security space, and:
- Familiarity with information security and key management concepts and protocols like KMIP, PKCS; knowledge of the security markrt and products is a plus
- Proficient in C and one or more of the following: Java, SQL, Python, Ruby, Java Script, shell scripting
- Good understanding of OS concepts, especially LINUX
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Willingness to assist others
- Willingness to ask for help
- Have a personal connection to the work that you do
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
