**General position title: Senior User Experience/User Interface Designer**
This is an opportunity to design products that will define the direction for security management and compliance within RSA and potentially for the security market as a whole. You will be working on a market leader in this space, helping to find new areas of growth and driving improvements to the user experience.
This position is ideal for a UX Designer with a background of interaction design principles. Visual Design skills are a plus. The candidate will need to clearly and concisely communicate design principles to others as well as creating prototypes to support Design ideas.
+ Quickly iterate on multiple interactive design solutions and work through details.
+ Advocate for your design solutions by putting them in context of business and user goals.
+ Define the structure and behaviors of browser-based software products and services via flow diagrams and wireframes.
+ Strong aesthetic style, creativity, and willingness to push the envelope.
+ Ability to effectively communicate designs to product and engineering teams
+ Strong understanding of UX principles and software development.
+ Depict the structure, behaviors, and visual design of interactive products via a truly interactive mockup.
+ Produce deliverables that are professional and visually appealing as well as creating best practices and styleguides.
+ Strong skills in design fundamentals such as knowledge of color, typography, layout, and shape.
+ Uncover user needs and usability issues with a product or idea through observational, task-based techniques such as usability testing and contextual inquiry.
+ Deep knowledge of current design trends.
+ Problem solving analysis and decision making skills
+ Mastery of common creative (e.g. Adobe CS) tools
CRITICAL HIRING CRITERIA
+ 5+ years’ experience in all or a majority of elements of user experience design (strategy, structure, and sensory)
+ A demonstrated history of excellent communication (spoken and written) and collaboration skills
+ Researched and designed UIs for multiple complex browser-based applications
+ An open mind, a can-do attitude, and a bent for creative problem-solving
+ Experience presenting your work to others and explaining the thinking behind it; experience making positive, iterative change based on feedback from peers
A strong portfolio of work exemplifying 5+ years of designing User Interfaces. Bachelor or Master’s in Design, Information Science, Computer Science/HCI, or a design-related discipline such cognitive psychology.
