Data, Cloud, and AI. These three forces are changing the world! Come and join us, to help make that change. We are the Azure Machine Learning Services team, and we are building solutions to enable our customer and partners to take full advantage of AI in the cloud. This is only possible through close collaboration with our partner teams in the Azure product groups (Azure SQL DB, Azure Data Lake Analytics, and HD Insight). From a technical perspective, we integrate data scientist languages like R and Python, and model scoring capabilities into these cloud data stores, enabling unprecedented performance and scale, as well as removing many barriers to adoption of AI. Within our organization, your team will be closely working with the SQL team, delivering our solution both in Azure SQL DB, as well as in SQL Server on-prem, with the goal to democratize AI for data scientists, app developers and system admins.

Making our customers succeed with our solutions is what excites us every day! Our team has people from a wide variety of backgrounds, previous work histories, and life experiences, and we are eager to maintain and grow that diversity. Our diversity of background and experience enables us to be better at building the best solutions for our customers, while having a blast building it! We believe in sane work hours, using our vacation time and we offer paid parental leave. In addition, we are passionate about learning on the job, and we have several hackathon weeks a year to ensure we have an opportunity to go beyond the planned and prioritized work and allow everyone to drive innovation. Our culture is collaborative, passionate and customer focused. We love the cultural change that is happening at Microsoft, and we try to bring our growth mindset to work every day!

What will you be doing? Leading a team: mentoring people, helping them grow, and develop their careers. Working with the Azure SQL DB team to enable in-database AI; making code contributions, leading by example. Partnering with Product Managers to establish scope and priority. Providing oversight and accountability for technical decisions. Collaborating with other teams to deliver the best possible solutions.
