Job Duties: Develops software solutions for external clients based on detailed specifications from technology/systems consultants. Responsible for the design, development, testing, documentation and analysis of modules or features of new or upgraded software systems and products. Develops and/or executes implementation according to project plans and priorities. May develop a range of products including device drivers, patches, operating system modifications, EDI routines, etc. Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Provides technical expertise in developing solutions to complex software engineering problems, which require frequent use of ingenuity and creativity. Provides work leadership to others. Interfaces with senior management to provide and obtain information and gain consensus regarding project direction. Accountable for overall product and/or serve as a customer advocate. Interacts cross functionally on matters that require coordination across functional/organizational lines.. Writes functional detailed design specs as well as responding to requirement documents and system level test plans. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, without appreciable direction. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Comp. Sci., Engin,(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field. 60 months experience in job offered or computer-related occupation. Experience must include 60 months of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Experience must include: 1) Authentication with NAS Protocols 2) FreeBSD OS, including pthreads, multiprocessing, and signal handling 3) C, C++, and Python programming languages 4) Unix Tools including gdb, g++, gcc, clang, and vim 5) Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, and MSRPC 6) OS Kernal Programming 7) Data consistency, operation atomicity, and data mirroring within operating systems. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
