The Teardown Technologist will lead physical teardown activities in End User Computing (EUC). Such activities are conducted in the context of Design to Value (DTV), including all levels of physical teardown, from customer experience and performance analysis to cost position analysis and cross-functional competitive benchmarking and cost ideation workshops. The lead serves as "Teardown Black Belt" on cross-functional DTV team, responsible for being the DTV subject matter expert for Teardowns for the lines of business supported.
-Co-owns and manages DTV Physical Analysis Lab
Sets up and runs Competitive Physical Analysis (teardown) lab
-Secures/facilitates appropriate core/extended team involvement in teardown activities
-Manages equipment procurement and physical analysis workshop preparation, and produces reports
-Co-owns competitive analysis roadmap
-Serves as a key interface with Marketing, Engineering, and Procurement resources
-Sets overall prioritization of competitive physical analysis projects, cadence/schedule of teardowns and ensures timely delivery of expected output
-Produce Teardown Reports and build competitive database
-8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
-Broad knowledge of the PC industry and competitor data
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Excellent presentation skills at the executive level
-Multi-disciplinary engineer preferred, with experience in electrical, mechanical & materials, and related manufacturing methods
-Board level electronics knowledge is a plus
-Design to Value, Design to Cost or Design to Leverage experience preferred
-Proven track record of assembling/leading cross functional teams preferred
