**Job Description:** **Principal UX Architect** The Architect is responsible for driving product success through improving the usability of products in collaboration with Product Management, the user community and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for product design areas including user interface, interaction design. This involves application of UX best practices and tools to translate user needs, business objectives, and UX/UI design into world-class desirable, valuable, feasible user experiences **Responsibilities and Deliverables:** + Create flowcharts, detailed wireframes, mockups and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate the user experience and user interface elements + Work closely with product management to validate requirements, and create formal UX documentation + Collaborate in usability reviews of applications and product test artifacts for usability + Work with Product management to define the user model and interface for new and updated features and functionality + Develop and present user experience recommendations to stakeholders + Represent and advocate for the user-centered perspective and serve as a resource throughout the organization + Maintain an up-to-date understanding of new technologies and best practices, website navigation, browsers, information architecture and usability + Drive and collaborate with Scrum teams to produce and maintain standards in pattern and component libraries **Qualifications and Experience:** + Ability to work independently and in teams + Able to organize and prioritize work; manage projects from brief to delivery + Able to work on multiple projects and consistent delivery on timeline + Experience managing to multiple perspectives; desire to understand other people’s passions, experiences and feelings + 5-7+ years of solid, on the job experience as an Interaction or UX designer delivering eCommerce and/or complex transactional web-based experiences + Well versed in user-centered design methods and techniques, with proven ability to understand target users and deliver appropriate experiences + Experience working in a Kanban/scrum environment + Familiarity with CSS, HTML, Javascript etc. **EMC Values:** When you choose our company, you join a diverse world of innovative thought leaders.
