Wealth Management Operations
Global Wealth Management Operations provides brokerage, investment and financial services to hundreds of thousands of individual investors. We apply our expertise in serving institutional clients to create new opportunities for people to achieve their personal financial goals. Morgan Stanley has one of the largest retail brokerage networks, with numerous worldwide representatives and retail locations. Our services are tailored to each client's investment objectives, risk tolerance, and financial needs. Products include mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and alternative investments where appropriate, as well as banking, securities based loans, mortgages, insurance and annuities.
The Private Banking Operations (PBO) team provides operational processing support for banking products offered to Morgan Stanley clients. This role is for a VP in PBO who will be responsible for the Payment Exception, Wire Support and Disbursement Teams. This is inclusive of the electronic movement of funds supporting wires, ach and checks as well security deliveries and internal cash and security movements. Oversight and work effort will include client escalations for priority payments, approval of high dollar transactions; researching and problem resolving, exception processing, and supporting complex projects which will include strategic business growth priorities, as well as response to dynamic regulatory environment. This role requires high attention to detail and working under strict deadlines. Candidate will be able to manage the team to meet deadlines, execute functions in a controlled environment, deliver superior client service, and assist with planning, testing, and implementing several high profile Banking projects, as well as providing leadership, coaching and development of staff, assist with management of capacity plans, depth charts (resource management), metrics, audits, regulatory and compliance reviews, etc. In addition, the individual will also be responsible for performing transactional approvals and supervisory reviews.
Knowledge of banking systems and processes (ie. Checks/ACH/Wires)
Ability analyze various aspects of inter-relationships of internal banking areas and systems;

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, economics, marketing, or related field;
An understanding of the client service Operations environment in a Brokerage business, preferred;
7-10 years of experience in financial services, including at minimum 5 years of people management experience
