Adecco Direct Placement is currently seeking candidate for a Direct Hire Process Engineer Job in Erie, PA for our client, a growing manufacturer of precision machined parts for the Aerospace industry. Our client seeks candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and experience working in close tolerance machining environment with mills, lathes and EDMs. Experience working with prototyping and exotic metals is strongly desired. This position offers a salary of $60,000 to 70,000 based on experience and education level and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements for the Process and Manufacturing Engineer Job in Erie, PA:

Generate detailed proposals for basic projects; identify, create and apply manufacturing best practices and standards by means of work instructions, set up and operations of plant manufacturing processes.
Develop and implement corrective actions that may occur internal/external using known corrective action techniques such as 5- why, 8-D and customer driven corrective actions.
Develop work travelers, interpret customer print specifications, and identify proper tooling for each program.
Utilize available software programs for quoting purposes and assist in quoting.
Utilize software programs to develop and implement CNC programs for production and prototypes.
Interact with Customer base to provide technical customer service.
Thorough understanding of Quality processes, ISO 9002/AS 9100 procedures, Nadcap procedures
Write Processes, Process Change Notices (PCN) and evaluate In Process Change Notifications.


Qualifications (Candidates must meet 80% of the following)

BS in Engineering or Quality Assurance plus appropriate continuous training.
Minimum 10 Years of experience in manufacturing engineering position.
Minimum 5 year experience in process development in any 2 of the following areas: CNC Lathes, Mills, and EDM's.
Proficient in the implementation and use of continuous improvement techniques (lean manufacturing, lean and six sigma, total quality management, etc.).
Proficient with the use of SPC (Statistical Process Control) methods.
Proficient in understanding and interpreting customer specifications.
Proficient in reading and understanding part prints including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
Experience with aerospace grade metals (Inconel, Haynes, Hastx, Titanium, etc.) maintaining ±.0005 inch tolerance preferred.
Experience with NADCAP is preferred.
Experience in operating any 2 of the following: CNC lathes, Mills, and EDM's is preferred.
Experience in set-up of any 2 of the following: CNC lathes, Mills, and EDM's is preferred
Experience in programming any 2 of the following: CNC Lathe, Mill, and EDM's is preferred.
Experience in EPICOR ERP system is a plus.
