The Process Excellence Manager is responsible for implementing key business improvement initiatives for a medium manufacturing site. This individual defines opportunities, analyzes data, designs manufacturing line flows, and improves business processes. This person will lead improvement initiatives by enlisting and influencing cross-functional teams that deliver tangible business results through the application of Lean and Six Sigma principles, methodologies and tools. Utilizing business, leadership and technical skills, the Site Process Excellence Manager will both execute projects and mentor all groups (associate to management) at the site, developing a continuous improvement culture. This person will be responsible for developing a strategy and executing a plan to deliver process performance improvements related to Quality, Delivery, and Cost. She/he will partner with regional franchise leadership teams (RFLT) to drive the identification and implementation of product cost reduction opportunities and will lead the DTV (Design To Value) approach to manage the product costs from inception. She/he will also facilitate regular reviews of cost drivers to achieve product cost targets.
The Process Excellence Manager will coordinate systems or processes to review and drive progress on Operational Excellence and cost reduction efforts. She/he will partner with regional franchise leadership teams (RFLT) to drive the identification and implementation of product cost reduction opportunities. She/he will manage project portfolio activities such as prioritization, resource allocation, performance measurement, and change management plans. She/he will develop strategy and execution plan to improve flow of products from suppliers to distribution centers. This individual will collaborate and partner with stakeholders across multiple functions to develop and execute continuous improvement strategies. She/he is responsible for driving associates’ engagement and for developing Lean and Six Sigma capabilities through coaching and mentoring at all levels (associate to management) within the site. The Process Excellence Manager will sustain business improvement results through the application of Lean, Six Sigma, ME2 (Manufacturing Equipment Excellence), JJPS (Johnson & Johnson Production System), Do It Right, and other continuous improvement methodologies. She/he will facilitate PEx trainings, certifications, business case definitions, and results presentations as required. This person will follow and observe all regulatory requirements (GMP’s, ISO, FDA, internal policies) applicable to area of responsibility. She/he will comply with J&J safety requirements and safe working conditions and practices in the department. This individual will support Quality Improvement Processes, Affirmative Action objectives and all activities to achieve World Class Manufacturing plant.
